A 2001+ car won't take to the o2 simulator kindly. You'll still get the catalyst efficiency code. For that matter, you'll still get the code with just about anything except for the OBD-II compliant converters which are super expensive.

Removing it and setting the code to "do not report" is the best option.

I run a magnaflow but have the rear O2 code deleted. Need to go to good fellas soon for the straight pipe special as my cat shield is rattling like a bitch also.

sounds like a great idea, however, due to current EPA restrictions, i cannot perform any kind of work that tampers with government control equipment.

Mine is a 2003 and didn't get a code when I had the sim put in.
