3.4 or 3.6

Looking to get a hub and pulley for black Friday.i have an 05 gp with full exhaust intake and zzp can tune. Should i play it safe and order a 3.6 or just say screw it and get a 3.4

Why not a 3.5?

id go with the 3.6 untill you get headers or a cam or both, a 3.4 will come close to running out stock injectors on a returnless fuel system gen v car

if you go with a 3.4 scan for knock, i had an 06 with headers s1x cam 42lb injectors and thought it would be a good idea to use a 3.2 puley and blew the motor, i then put an l26 bottom end in it with the s1x, headers and injectors and it made 280whp with the 3.4 pulley but got knock with the 3.2

Your going to need to put your mods on your car rather than keeping them in the garage.

Back when my '04 only had headers, full exhaust, and an intercooler, I made 245whp on a 3.4". But I could only run ~15* of timing.

Best to play it safe and have an I/C, injectors or cam/rockers before you start slapping smaller pulleys on IMO.

IIRC he ran out of injector/fuel hence his IC and Inj, or cam/rockers comment. The returnless 04+ fuel system isn't as forgiving as the 97 - 03 fuel system.

I'd say the 3.6 to start or 3.5 if that is an option. Cheaper to buy a smaller pulley than a new block.

I just see it all the time people buy/install a IC kit (to run smaller pulleys) yet do not upgrade the injectors for whatever reason.

I did backwards, huge injectors.... Stock everything else, maybe that is why the GP is slow....
