Yea, it sounds like a lot of work to take the motor out, but it's really not. I never did it before and had mine out in about 4hrs. That was with a turbo kit, would be even faster with a supercharged setup.

the balance shaft i thought knocked the vibration out at cruse rpm not idle i could be wrong tho
the vibration is mostly below 1000rpm at idle and just above

its mostly due to it being a 90* bank angle v6

its a 3rd and 4th order harmonic vibration thats reffered to as close coupled rocking and its sorta a wobble

the balance shaft is offset weights at each end. by rotating opposite the cranks clockwise rotation at crank speed it helps mitigate the wobble the crank is producing.

if you still have stock hydraulic mounts and watch it in gear at idle wou will see the effects of the crank wobble.

for the most part its just extra mass to spin and it was only installed because of finicky fucks that fuckin flip over the slightest vibration in a machine
