those are cheapo's. probably work fine for at least a while...


you can get good used aftermarkets from the junkyards too if you look around.

got two nearly new monroe sensatracs for the intrepid for 25$ ea

they sqeak a little but i dont give a shit

grab the rear struts from an 07 W

your able to use the rear struts from every fuckin one from 97 to 09

go nuts

Ok, wasn't sure if I should just replace with new, mine broke a spring. I'll junk yard it gladly.

At the pick n pull on 41 n 173 they have two regals one has a KYB set up in the back, didnt look to old. The other has two brand new struts n springs out back in it. FYI

would it be to cheap to just replace the one? I broke a spring on the drivers side, that's why i was replaceing

not really its just that the handling will be odd if you dont have a matching pair

for a beater id shoot for another high mileage stock strut car and just use/replace the one

keep in mind youll want to have a sway bar end link on hand since usually the old one doesnt cooperate too well with the rust...

Usually you replace struts in pairs, same with springs.

163k miles but need another year at least. Going to order some front end parts and see no problem getting more years from it after that.(fingers crossed). Will start a new thread for the front parts.
Will pick up a couple struts at a yard then. I figured pairs. But was also trying to save money for the front end.

just look em over and the car. look at the pedals and hand controls, seat, etc and you can gauge the wear and tear, youll be looking for wrecked or burned cars, dont shy from a rear hit even off center....if you see stud damage or good chance of wheel hit, then move on. even 120k 04 gp struts are way better than what you have


frontend parts? psh i got play in all the ball joints on the intrepid and i still dont care, i just squirt gear oil into the torn boots to keep em from wearing out too fast.
i think i can make it last to 200k before both front wheels fall off

Wheel bearings are bad, Control arm bushings wore out. Front stabilazer broke and inner tie rods shot.
