Cracked plog

Would it hold if I mig weld it back, I haven't verified if its a weld that cracked or just the metal but the only welder I have is mig and I'm what I would call just ok at using

How Bad is the crack? And thing can be welded but if its close to the flang you might have a warppage issue. How old is it?

It was used dont know how long but its stainless and I think the mig at work is tungsten, I don't know enough about welding, I can lay down some decent welds bit I don't know about the different metals and how it would hold up

Im not sure how to load from a phone.

I know Stainless requires alot of heat to get welded. I would go into any welding place if you have one around and ask. I think TIG welders need a different tip or else it contaminate or something. My welding knowledge is very basic

you can weldstainless with standard mild steel wire it just wont be corrosion resistant

if the welder you talk of involves tungsten then it is a TIG welder.

prep well, backpurge the inside, and use stainless filler rod and it'll hold up well

It's a mig I have used it to weld a bunch of shit on this car, I'm prolly just going to throw a weld on it tomorrow at work, all I really want is it to last the rest of the decent weather the motors coming out this winter anyway ill just get a new plog then

haha that last statement made me literally LOL...although i too have no idea what he is talking about.

but...i had a plog which i had a buddy repair some cracks...didn't look pretty, but it sealed up the cracks.
