very well may upgrade my reverse lamps to these.. can't barely see shit at night with the stock ones. it's very hard to see even my driveway when i'm right on it.

Here's how they look in a newer one..

inb4 stupid. if it's main function actually helps me if it's brighter, then i'm ok with it. i didn't buy HID's for the looks. i bought HIDs originally for the higher power/further beam, and better visibility. often drive home from my gf's in pitch black at night so these would help me as well given the fact i usually have to back out of a long driveway and back into mine

I guess these would be beneficial for someone with super dark tint. I can see just fine with my light 20% though.

No tint. Getting tinted soon. But I've driven cars with tints and haven't really had an issue...except on a car with limo

would like thses for my gp. my light bar is tinted and i only have the light off my brake lights when backing up. would like to be able to back up without being on the brakes to be able to see.

don't think it would be honestly hard to wire up a switch in line on the center console , the reverse lamp switch is kinda in the area or right there I'm pretty sure

yep. that's why i want to do this. it's not really a mod imo, but more helping something by doing it's job better than what came stock. same with the headlamps, i don't really consider them a mod.. it helps me see at night.

Ive always had the idea of putting some generic square foglights under the car back behond the rear bumper. Have them shine the ground real nicely. I think it would work just as well as this setup

^^ this would probably be the big reason i wouldn't get one. Other wise it makes sense especially for people with tinted windows.

I wonder if there's an equivalent for LED.

It really wouldn't be an issue. Unless you're putting the car into gear and immediately mashing on the gas, the lights will be warmed up. My HIDs take maybe a second or two to get to full brightness.
