A OEM GM sensor is bad already? Its got like 5K on it. Im thinking its the O2 extension, but I would like more input.

it's in your sig dumbass.


If you think it's the o2 extension harness, take an ohmmeter and put the red lead on one end of a wire on the connector, and the black lead on the other end of the same wire. You are looking a very low resistance value. If you get OL, that means you have a wire open.

If that's the case, I have an extra extension.

every one of the companys that make o2 sensors for our cars is crap now a days. Its hard to even suggest a replacement sensor to a customer now.
Even Delcos seem to be flaky.
Tho dont rule out the extension. We had 2 zzp extensions start to get corrosion at the connectors

This isnt a problem of the non existent rear O2. Codes for that are turned off in the PCM via the PT. Its the front one, on the downipe.

Tell me about it, I have had a Boosh, Delphi, and now a GM on the car. I think im going to try a new 02 extension, what do you recommended?

Its probably 3-4 months old. Now that I think about it, it has nowhere near 5K on it. I installed it.

I think caspers would be the only other option. You can pick it up as well with them being so close.

Mine looks just like a caspers... How long of a extension should I get?

Old easy performance and caspers units look alike. Only the company ZZP uses now look a little dif.
You would have to measure with TOGs, Short as possible with out causing strain on the stock harness or sensor. Measure the one you have if you have alot of slack order a shorter one.

Cut and solder, you'll never have issues.

thats one way to do it. Dont forget cut the harness wires not the sensors.
Extensions work....just time and weather seem to make them have shorter life then you would ever want.

Ive seen random O2 sensor codes for a while, so I guess after I clear them they come back.

Sounds like the P0450 EGR "hard code" i'm getting with my GTP.
My code is a result of a short/open in the wiring SOMEWHERE between the egr connector and harness.

Mike's GTP sounds like it also has a 'hard code' -- something physically causing the ses light to trip
