im guessing a 3.0 pulley and maybe nitrous?

lol, no nitrous and he's got a full stack i/c on an xp cam, that 3.0 is harmless. Judging by the sounds i wanna say it's a cracked flex plate. Nobody will probably agree with that but he said the sound is non-existent during idle so... If it is a spun bearing that sux, so much for an xp cam for me.

well i pulled the valve covers off today. no springs broken, no bent pushrods, nothing loose or out of place. listening to the noise more closely it seems to be the loudest at cylinder one. so i guess the next step is to drain the oil through a filter and see how much metal is in the oil.
