WTB - AC work on 2000 Bonneville SSEI - Gurnee area

In Gurnee IL area -
2000 Pontiac Bonneville. AC is not working. My regular car place quoted ~$925 for Compressor and Condensor.
I was told the Compressor is what is bad - however, they need to add the condenser in order for the Compressor to be warrantied.

Is there someone that can do Compressor only?

if the compressor is bad, it probably sent metal through the system. it would be wise to replace the compressor & condenser together.

id quote it myself, but im in batavia.
i did look up labor, and its 3 hrs to change compressor & condenser. plus time to re-charge.

OK thanks. Sounds my quote is in ballpark of whats needed. it just seems like a lot of cash for such an old car.

age of car doesnt change labor times and price of parts/materials. i know id be right around that price if it came to my shop.
