Most center around the emissions. Aside from emissions related stuff 11-12 trucks had turbo and fuel system issues. 13-14's had those issues resolved but still had the smaller turbo/fuel, 15-16's had a bigger turbo and a CP4.2??? fuel pump with a higher flow rate, accounting for the higher HP/Torque.

If we're being honest, I can't see the emissions stuff or DEF staying on a diesel very long when its in my hands.

No, probably not. I've had ZERO emissions related issues with mine, I'm also overly anal about respecting the regen process (ie: if it's regenning and it's at all convenient I will drive until it completes as well as an additional mile or so to let the EGT's drop. It also sees a ton of highway.

What you wanna know?

We towed a fully loaded 24' enclosed car trailer around the country for a year with a 2015 ecoboost expedition. Required anti sway bar and load leveling hitch, but thought it did pretty well....

Until we upgraded to the '15 F350 dually. Never even installed the anti-sway or load leveling hitch. Thing is amazing.

It all depends how much you are towing (we had an extended height heavy enclosed trailer), but they do work. Make sure your trailer brakes are good. Watch your tires, cause the rears can get hot when the rear IRS squats and cambers in. We got 7-8mpg towing down to Florida at a pretty decent speed. And we didn't die in the mountains lol.

I used to have an 03 6.0 F250 w/ a 6 speed. It didn't run all that great, but I wasn't all that impressed with how it towed. I know it needed some work, but it pretty much needed to downshift up every hill. Seemed like the power wasn't that great until over 2500 rpms. I'm sure it would have been better with a tune.

I do pull with my '13 3.5 EB often. I have a 8.5x20 enclosed trailer that pulls hard as hell. I get 9mpg with it on a nice calm day. 5k lbs is probably the most it weighs with my tools and materials in it. It does pull nice though. It never downshifts below 4th gear, no matter how big the hills are, and there are some decent sized ones around here. Going into a wind though, it sometimes doesn't have the power to stay in 6th gear at 65mph. I have 3.55 gears, btw.

I also tow that same trailer with my 6.0/4l80e Chevy. It doesn't have enough power to pull the trailer in 4th gear at 60mph. 3rd gear pulls it on the flats well, and it pretty much downshifts to 2nd up every hill.

Anyways, moral of all that, I really like the way that the 3.5 EB pulls, aside from the mpg. But, I don't want to trash a platinum interior when I'm all dirty after a day of construction or farming. It's also tad bit light (suspension wise) for pulling some of the bigger skid loaders. The Chevy has a heavier suspension, but no power at all. So I've been thinking hard about selling them both and getting a diesel. I'd love the 6.7, but don't want another payment, so I will probably try to find a 6.0 with lots of work done, or a lbz duramax.

If you pull a couple times a year, the EB would do great. Although I know that the 20' trailer I have can throw the pickup around some when it's really windy, so I would imagine the 24' you have would be worse. They can run 12's easy with a few mods.

If you are pulling a lot, I would probably go with the 6.7.

Sorry if this is really random and unorganized....I was doing some heavy multitasking.

My '06 6.0 F350 pulls amazing. Bulletproof, new injectors and IDC tuned. Doesn't kick out of 5th with the TC locked going up pretty crazy grades @ 80mph pulling the 24' trailer.

Something was wrong with your 6.0 @GTPpower

I've lugged manual trucks in top gears and the turbo just spools right up. Service bodies that weigh probably close to 22k

My truck did mountains with my car hauler and didn't think twice. Hayward regularly with the same trailer, and I get 19mpg unloaded doing 80 with full emissions. Can't really say much more good about the 6.7's boys... Logging 54,000 miles in the last year I probably have close to the most seat time behind the wheel of one on here, and all I can relay is my experience. You know my opinions Dan!

If your trailer really weighs 6k lbs and you are just driving to WI a handful of times in winter I would buy a Raptor. Suspension will be soft but the 6.2L rumble makes up for it. And you can Soopa Charge it....we know how you are.

If going daysul, I absolutely loved the Dudge Cummings when I worked at Dudge. Any chance I would get I would drive one.
