Half Mile Vehicle Logging

Will anyone be at the half mile event either spectating or running as well that might be able to do vehicle data logging? I am curious as to what will be going on with my car during the runs and review the data after. I am quite the Newb when it comes to that stuff so I would need a good amount of help with it.

If anyone has the ability to do so it would be appreciated.

I have HPT and could bring a laptop and my cable to log for ya if you'd like... how much time I'll have to analyze your logs, that I can't say. Not sure how busy I'll be. I'm sure we can check the basics and make sure its not KR'ing all the way down the track...

PS - if you're worried about the tune at all, run the best gas you can and if that's not an option, at the very least, bring a can of octane booster. I won't have credits available to change the tune, just FYI.

Not looking to change the tune. It was done by speed inc and has seemed spot on ever since. I am just curious to see it and look at trans temps etc.

If you could bring it just to log and view but not change anything it would be appreciated


Its tuned for 93 and normally has only gas from Shell or BP in it. A tier 1 station or whatever they are called.

As far as I know the car reads trans temps stock? I thought Willizm was telling me that it did when he plugged in his Aeroforce gauge. I could be wrong though.

If I order one I have to be careful and read. Most of them are not IOS compatable. It would probably be easier if I could just meet up with Eagle on Saturday at the event and use his HPtuners to log a run or 2.

The IOS adapter needs to be wifi and not Bluetooth. I use the elm327 wifi adapter and engine link app with my ip6.

It's OK. Definitely not as good as the Android app, Torque. Gets the job done for casual sensor reading and DTC read/clear.

Android devices are cheap enough. That might be the way to go.

While cruising Amazon I noticed you can buy splitter cables for OBD2... Anybody run one? The reviews are sketchy.

Any particular brand that the car enthusiast are using? I see there are a lot of choices.
