Bears signed Zach Miller to a 1 year deal for the league minimum.

Classy move by the Bears. Miller won't play as he attempts to recover from last year's terrible injury so the Bears are basically giving him a half mil. loyalty paycheck.

Chicago Bears re-signing Zach Miller to one-year deal - NFL.com

EDIT: Bears place Miller on PUP/Reserve list. He won't play this year so the signing was just to toss some money his way that the Bears were not obligated to give him. Miller's medical is already covered by the Bears, I assume, but this nearly half mil payment will let him rehab without having to worry about expenses.

One surprise out of training camp has been WR Kevin White. Nearly every fan has written him off but that may not be the case. With Allen Robinson still rehabbing, White has been starting with the first team and doing well. He has been putting in extra time working on drills. Other Bears say he looks hungry this year. It's his "prove it" year.

I have no expectations for him after the previous 3 years but, how nice would it be if White developed into a competent WR2? He was the #7 pick in the first round in 2015 and 2nd WR taken, IIRC. Has he finally grown up and will he stay healthy?

Allen Robinson (rehab is going well so far)
Kevin White
Taylor Gabriel (speed demon)
Anthony Miller (wild card with Hines Ward traits)
Tarik Cohen (slot or out of the backfield) People are saying Nagy and Helfrich are using him the way he should have been used. Moving him around and using his skills to his advantage. Fox didn't know what to do with him. Cohen said Fox had him train 1 position. Helfrich is putting him all over.

Hell of a lot better than we had last year. Bears are going to be fun to watch regardless of how successful they are this year.

I agree. Even if it is a 7-9 or 8-8 season, it will be a way better watch than the last few years.

The one thing about Kevin White, even though he's been in the league for "3 years" he has like 4 total games of experience. When he was in those games, he was largely ineffective....it takes time to get up NFL game speed. Let's hope his camp prowess turns into actual on field production.

Looking at the Bear's schedule, I don't see many win's happening... Granted they should be improved in some area's. It all depends on Trubustski's play and if they can squeak out some win's at home...

Bish don't hate on a 13-3 season, another NFC NORTH Division Championship(20th Division Championship most by any team in the League) a First-round Bye and a Playoff Win. I'll take that any day over a last place record going 5-11 and going 0-6 in the division...

Yeah, Cousins is an upgrade but he's no Rodgers/Brees/Brady.

As a Bears fan, I'm hoping Trubisky outperforms Cousins this year.

Watching the player interviews has been interesting. I got to see who has brains and who can barely speak. Surprisingly, most of these guys, young as they are, are able to handle interviews at least professionally. Some are much better.

Trubisky, Floyd, Cohen can use some more practice. Trubisky is all gung ho team responses with occasional times when his personality comes through. Floyd just isn't personable or comfortable. Cohen is better at playing than talking.

The veterans do best, of course, and pretty much everyone has been good about pumping up the interest without revealing too much about the actual plays. We'll see more RPOs and play action for sure as well as guys lining up at multiple positions to keep the DEFs guessing.

RPOs explained. QB is basically looking at how one LB reacts and then deciding run/pass:

Trubisky the guy who only put up 7 TD's and 7 INT's???..

Not a chance that Trubustski outperform's Cousins, put down the weed bro...

Cousins has put up similar numbers to Rodgers, Bree's and Brady the past 3 years and now has a "Real Weapons" at his disposal and a #1 Defense that can help him out as well. You Bear fan's are just jealous and are talking out your ass! I can not wait for football season to get here!

No, that was Fox's rookie Trubisky.

New guy is the Trubisky who has a much improved receiving corps and the brand new, state of the art Offense being implemented by Nagy. Philly, the Rams and KC all showed last year how this Offense is the future of the NFL.

I think veteran QBs will have a harder time adjusting to it than college guys who have played variations for years. You need a quick reading, mobile QB to make it work. Hopefully, Trubisky is one of those guys.

I wasn't really watching, but I think I heard on the radio that the SB teams were the Patriots and the Eagles, wasn't it? Unless the Vikings were playing, I could have sworn since their season was so good they were going to play in the SB.

I'd hope he does better year 2 as it couldn't get much worse than what he did last year... Most games his yardage came after team's were ahead and let off the gas... I said they improved in some area's but I don't really think it will be that much different as they lost guy's or didn't improve along the O-line. Same goes for the D-line Akiem Hicks and Eddie Goldman are solid but outside of them who do they have? Also there's no real Depth for when injuries occur... The Secondary and RB's are good and the rookie LB Roquan Smith should be good. Coordinator and Receiving corps might be slightly better than last year but not by much IMO. We will see I guess.
Area in Bold text describe's Kirk Cousins...

Yes it was bad but it was learning experience for the team... At least it wasn't as bad as the previous NFC Championship game where Rodgers and the Pack got molly-whopped by the Falcons....
