From The Redzone:

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has not been ruled out as a suspect in a homicide investigation in North Attleboro, a law enforcement source told Karen Anderson of WBZ-TV.

The source also said Hernandez is not cooperating with investigators at this point in the probe.

State Police detectives were back at Hernandezā€™s home Wednesday morning. They knocked on the door and no one answered. After making a brief phone call, they left and would not talk to reporters.

Hernandez and a woman drove away from the home earlier in a white Audi SUV and also had no comment on the investigation thatā€™s drawn national media to his North Attleboro neighborhood.

Police went to see Hernandez Monday after a jogger found the body of a man in an industrial park near Hernandezā€™s home.

The man was identified by his family Wednesday as 27-year-old Odin Lloyd of Dorchester. Lloyd played semi-pro football with the Boston Bandits.

Sports Illustrated reported that the link between Hernandez and the case was a rented Chevrolet Suburban with Rhode Island plates that police had been searching for.

The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro, Mass., said the SUV was registered to Enterprise and investigators wanted to analyze it for fingerprints.

Hernandez is represented by the Athletes First agency, which said it has no comment ā€œon the Aaron Hernandez situation.ā€

Redzone:

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was sued earlier this month for allegedly shooting a man in the face following an altercation at a Miami strip club according to TMZ.com.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Florida on June 13 -- five days before investigators searched the NFL star's Massachusetts home in connection with a homicide investigation that appears to be unrelated.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Hernandez and Alexander S. Bradley went to Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami on February 13, 2013 ... and during the outing, the two men got into an argument.

Bradley claims after the dispute, both men left the club -- and got into the same car which was heading to Palm Beach. During the ride, Aaron allegedly aimed his weapon at Bradley and the gun discharged, striking Bradley in the face.

Bradley claims he suffered major injuries from the gunshot ... including the loss of his right eye.

Bradley also claimed he required major surgery to reconstruct his face which required plates and screws. Bradley also claims he suffered damage to his right hand and arm, which also required surgery.

Looking more serious for Hernandez. Police are hinting he's directly involved.

Redzone:

Things could be getting worse for New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

Steve Silva of Boston.com reports that heā€™s heard from a law enforcement source that Hernandez will be arrested in connection with Odin Lloydā€™s murder.

FOX 25 in Boston reported that Hernandez appears to be directly tied to the homicide and that Hernandez, Lloyd, and two other men were at a bar in Boston the night of the homicide, and at some point, the four men left together in a car driven by Hernandez which was confirmed by a text Lloyd sent another friend, the source says.

The Boston Globe reports authorities are continuing their search today for a part of a car mirror they believe is connected to Lloyd's murder.

Yasmina Serdarevic , a spokeswoman for Bristol District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter said part of a silver sideview mirror, which may have broken off a car between Dorchester and North Attleborough, is being sought. Officials late Wednesday asked for the publicā€™s help in locating it, but without explaining its connection to Lloydā€™s murder.

ā€œIt remains an active and fluid investigation,ā€™ā€™ Serdarevic said as she declined to comment further on the investigation.

this all seems very familiar...

The FOX Boston station now has a helicopter following Aaron Hernandez's white SUV. Watch it here. (ABC5's helicopter feed is here.) Today has circus potential. We're updating below.

11:35: He drove to Gillette Stadium. The helicopter won't leave. Local news is the best.

12:35: Hernandez has left the stadium. When he stopped for gas he was swarmed by reporters.

Minor traffic violation. We'll stick with this all day if we have to.

Report: Aaron Hernandez Arrest "Likely" [Updating]Expand

1:10: There's now a report that Hernandez was involved in a May 18 incident at a Providence nightclub. According to WLNE, Hernandez was taunted by a Jets fan at Viva, and police intervened. During the incident, police observed someone discarding a handgun.

This is different from a June 6 incident outside Karma nightclub in Providence, about which no details have been released. Then there's the lawsuit filed by a man who claims Hernandez shot him at a Florida strip club.

1:15: Hernandez just pulled into a parking garage at the Prudential Center. Fox notes that Hernandez's lawyer has an office in the complex.

1:25: Having lost track of Hernandez, the ABC helicopter is desperately swiveling its camera, zooming in on every white vehicle it sees. It's sort of sad.

Hugh Douglas weighs in. Thanks, Hugh.

2:05: ABC News is reporting that police arrived at Hernandez's home today armed with a warrant based on information that "he destroyed his home security system," and the cell phone he handed over to investigators was smashed into pieces. Additionally, a professional cleaning service was hired to clean Hernandez's home on Monday.

2:35: Here's the police report for the shooting of Alexander Bradley, the man suing Hernandez in Florida. There is no mention of Hernandez in the reportā€”Bradley is repeatedly noted as being uncooperative and refusing to answer questions. www.scribd.com/doc/149023206/Hernandez-911-Report

3:10: The Herald reports that no warrant has yet been issued for Hernandez's arrest. But SI's source calls an arrest "likely."

Arrest warrant issued for Hernandez...

Redzone:

Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will be charged in connection with the shooting death of a 27-year-old Dorchester man, a law enforcement source told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 on Friday.

According to that source, an arrest warrant has been issued on a charge of obstruction of justice.

It is expected that State Police will be responsible for arresting Hernandez, but it is not yet clear when and where Hernandez was going to be arrested.

The source added that it is possible that charges could eventually be upgraded.

The body of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd of Dorchester was found Monday in a field in North Attleboro, about half-a-mile from Hernandezā€™s home. He had been shot in the head.

Patriots' TE Aaron Hernandez dodged reporters' questions as he left Gillette Stadium Thursday while investigators continued to look for clues in the death of one of his 27-year-old associates who was found less than a mile from the star tight end's North Attleboro home.

A law enforcement source said Hernandez appears to be directly tied to the homicide of Odin Lloyd; however, at this point there have been no arrests in the case, but new information gathered Thursday paints a clearer picture as to why Hernandez is the focus of the investigation.

FOX 25's Bob Ward's sources have confirmed that there is video evidence of Hernandez and two other men wearing hooded sweatshirts walking into Hernandez's home within minutes of neighbors hearing gunshots.

Neighbors say they heard the gunshots between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Monday morning, but did not report it to police right away.

Just about an hour before Hernandez was caught on video walking into his home, Hernandez was seen at Lloyd's home in Dorchester.

FOX 25 also confirmed that the hard drive to Hernandez's home video surveillance system was heavily damaged when state police investigators went to his house.

Investigators want to talk to Hernandez in detail about what happened early Monday morning, but it is not clear just how forthcoming Hernandez has been, FOX 25's Bob Ward said.

Hernandez, Lloyd, and two other men were reportedly at a bar in Boston the night of the homicide, and at some point, the four men left together in a car driven by Hernandez which was confirmed by a text Lloyd sent another friend, a source said.

Just spitballing here... but.. Until a warrant was made, couldn't the "evidence" of him destroying his home security feed be thrown out because there was no reason to use it until after the fact? I mean yeah, it's shady as shit that you destroyed your security feed and recordings, but see above.

Also I hope someone gets what I'm saying. I can't seem to think of a better way to put it at the moment.

Hernandez' phone was delivered to police by his lawyer in pieces. This means the cops did have a warrant and had requested the phone among other items. Delivering it in this condition probably meets the definition of obstruction of justice.

From the details that keep emerging, it looks like the prosecutors won't have much trouble putting together a chain of events that includes 4 guys partying at a bar, gunshots, then moments later, 3 guys returning to Hernandez' home. the fourth guy is dead in a field a couple blocks away with one of Hernandez' rented vehicles nearby. Gonna be hard to defend against that, especially with the destruction of the security vids and phone. Hernandez probably doesn't realize the phone company will be able to reproduce most, if not all, the records. Shit, the NSA probably also has them.
