that is a long time ago when it was clean and you can't really see to the back of the garage from the vantage point. I think 30 feet deep was an exaggeration, but like if it wasn't for the stairs, you could fit a car sideways in the back.

the SSA is like almost half of that, a little over 2k. Not sure what the taxes would be without the SSA, I'm sure they'd find some way to make up for it. The builder didn't really let any of us know we could have paid 10k at closing to cover the SSA either.

BTW, I commuted to the loop from here for 9 years and the wife has been commuting to Northbrook from here for 11 years!

got an offer already, obviously not asking but it is close enough that negotiations should go well. Plus we put it an offer on something in McIntosh in Inverness. Roads in that subdivision would make for a great tarmac rally stage.

I have a buddy that lives in that subdivision (wonder lake). I would house sit when they went on vacation and travel to south elgin everyday for work every time I watched their house. Definitely a nice area. Was going to look into a house in that area so many years ago but never did.

Been looking around still and want something move in ready that's been updated. Been eyeballing this house, but still haven't gone to look at it. The commute wouldn't be fun, but it isn't horrible. This is the only one out towards Woodstock, the rest are in Spring Grove and that area.

Where do you work? There are some other things up in this subdivision that are like 100k less than that house. That being said that subdivision (Thoroughbred estates) is definitely fancier with bigger lots and each house was custom built. That subdivision was also in the news a while back after someone rented their house and the renters setup a grow op in one of them and did like 200k in damage to the house!

As I'm sure Eagle can attest, while the lot sizes are small in this subdivision the houses were surprisingly well made given they were inexpensive. Houses that had upgraded lots like mine actually have a decent amount of space (14-15k sq ft lots.) Houses without upgraded lots had less space (iirc like 8-9k sq ft lots) but most of the unupgraded lots actually back up to one of the surrounding farms.
