Hit the track yesterday, what i don't get is the thing always launches harder on the street. Seriously, not a chirp just punch the gas and gone.

First pass the dam thing ignited all four through second gear 40lb tire pressure

Second pass i dropped tire pressure to 25lbs.

Im tempted to get a drag set up, 17 in wheels and drag radials 20180330_121433.jpg20180330_131204.jpg20180330_103211.jpg

This is weird, at least to me....

so at the track my truck spins all four, sometimes into second YET on the street, NOT a squeak. Seriously, just grabs & goes. My 60 on the street would be sick.......

& it seems I've launched harder @ Byron over GLD.

Full weight in either instance.

nah i get it.

maybe try drag radials all around at the track?

with how much rubber is on the track, your street tires aren't going to hold it...

my gtp everytime since it's been turbo, i'd get a 1.9-2.0 60', and then the car would obliterate the tires past the 60' and id be sitting there :dunno:

then the airport events... i barely had traction issues at all on my street tires.

Byron used a lot of glue when they prep. So not uncommon to see better 60' times there. Especially on radials.

Are you just rear wheel drive or still AWD?

If AWD I can see where the tires would be warm when on the street and cold at the track. Due to just sitting in the staging lanes, pulling up, and running. Air pressure can play a part as well. Less air pressure in a radial isn't always better. If too low the tire will distort and the contact patch changes. All of that could play into it.
