I dont mind doing race pads for the weekend. They are super easy to swap with the brembo setup. I dont even mind getting some tires for the track day too.

Just my opinion.

Not that your car comes with crappy tires but stickier 200tw tires for the track aren't the best choice for learning as they can tend to hide some of your mistakes. Better to learn on the crappier tires which usually tend to talk to you a bit more vs some of re-71r, rs4, sur4, direzza etc. Also since the stock tires possibly have less grip you can learn car control at lower speeds vs grip grip grip oh crap oversteer/understeer.

Completely different car but I learned on my 380tw potenza RE760's and until I get consistent enough lap by lap and then I have some RS3's ready to be mounted that didn't work out on our lemons car. When I first started lapping on them I would overheat them and grease them due to bad lines and overworking them. By the 2nd track day I was keeping them much happier by being smoother taking better lines to the point that I wouldn't grease them up at all in a 30 minute session. Whereas the stickier tires would have let me be hamfisted.

You won't need aftermarket pads. But depending on your driving style if you're overly heavy on the brakes you might cook the fluid. Just watch for a soft-pedal. If the travel starts increasing that means the fluid is starting to boil. So you should start taking a cooldown lap if that happens. The signs will be there long before the brakes actually fail.

But since your car comes with 15 inch brakes and six piston calipers, It will likely be fine with stock fluids. If you want bring some good fluid with you so you can bleed it at the track. More of a just in case thing.

Default School me - First track day in the 1LE, and first for me ever.

I needs tires but hopefully will find a set of oem wheels as my stock tires are older and had enough heat but still for the street.

Thats probably what will happen. The 1LE is track focused and its capabilities are WAY outside of my own. I have no doubt aside from maintenance parts, this car needs nothing to keep up with my lack of talents for seasons to come. Hell the active rev matching alone is something I wont be able to do on my own for a long time. I have been trying to do that on the street and very rarely do I get it right. The car gets it right 100% of the time and makes me look like a hero.

Plus the performance driving modes.

Your first session or two you can probably stick to one gear and have less to worry about. That engine makes enough power you can probably let it pull down to 1,500 rpm and accelerate out of the corner just fine. lol

Wouldn't you have to track it first

i've gone from inability to do this at all to now... doing it ok, although it's hard for me to practice on the street as i don't do it that well unless braking quite hard. it is pretty fun. i have a tune mode now that does auto blip perfectly, which i tried and was pretty impressed with on the way to starbucks. i haven't used it at the track though as it's more fun for me to try and learn the skill.
