Cool SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY, US 41

.

A bunch of us are planning to support our local track Sunday

A buddy just dropped a bunch of dough on a new engine and I promised to help him break her in

Anyone need a little help let me know.
Not planning to bring my trailer, but I may bring the tow vehicle, haven't decided yet.

Have fun & race safe Guys.

Low 60's and dry, should be a decent day

Let's hope there's enough heat in the track for his new monster ass engine??
Race safe everyone!!

Horrible day.
Wasted 5 hours, a bunch of fuel and whatever admission was
Very few race cars, got bored and left.
Bone stock cars & Juniors mainly.
Perfect weather, I was hoping for more car count

Oh well, RT 66 next W/E.

Never got to see how the track was.
Very few cars made a hit and none of the race cars ran while I was there.
The juniors & street cars were running, so I got bored and went to my office & worked.

I'm sure the track was fine.
The starter was so bored waiting for cars to run he was spraying & prepping the line between runs.
I saw him working on the bald spot.

Hey I got some fresh air and the track got my donation, so all's good!!!
I just expected a packed house with the weather finally breaking.
Absolutely nothing bad to say about the track.
I for one truly appreciate the Hupke brothers saving our old girl from those idiots & POS denny.

Last time I walked that track, 2 years ago, we were losing our shoes... My buddy dumped the clutch on his z06 and lost both shafts

Never had an issue with the track, I've been 1.05 60' there many times,
it was the POS thief we had an issue with & the owners not listening to the customers.

Track seems fine now. It used to get super sketchy on the big end. I wasnít even making crazy power, only about 600 hp on a previous gear banger car. I remember shoving the car into 3rd and putting my foot back on the gas and it got squirrely a few times

Tim and Bill were the two best things that could have happened to that place. I'm so glad Denny is history...

I know nothing about the new manager, but the new owners I've heard nothing but great things about.
The Hupke Brothers really saved that track. I've talked to several guys that know Bill on a friendly basis and they say all good things

Nobody I asked ever heard of Tim, but if Bill trusts him, he must be a decent enough guy

Tims been in the racing background for at least 10 years that I know of. I bought a high compression starter from him when he had a shop around 30 and 41.

There are so many rumors about Tim, I have no clue what to believe??
I heard he owned a speed shop, then he works the counter at Mr. Hupke's store, then he owns a chassis dyno??
All I know from a personal friend of Mr. Hupke's is he's the track manager & the Hupke brothers own the track 100%.

The Hupke brother saved the track, and I appreciate them.

The issue today was they wouldn't stay out of the damn way.
Idiots blocking the water box and give you a nasty look when you dare try to pull up to make a run??
Guys that have no clue running.
Guys would block you trying to video the run.
Stuff like that.

Some one is going to get ran over or side swiped by a car doing a burnout.

The track was fine, I walked out a ways, and it was fine.
The goofs that got loose can't dial in a car, we had a 7 second car and it hooked just fine.
