At the heart of this world-record-setting car is the twin-turbo V12 engine of the current Mercedes-Benz 600 model. It was fit into the confines of the sedan with surgical precision. BRABUS increases displacement to 6,233 ccm with a special crankshaft, larger cylinder bore and forged pistons. Internally, airflow in both intake and outlet manifolds of the cylinder heads is optimized, and sport camshafts are installed. BRABUS engine specialists further equip the engine with larger turbochargers, a more efficient intercooling system, and stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system featuring four exhaust pipes and low back-pressure metal catalysts. A reprogrammed ECU orchestrates the perfect interaction of all new components.

The BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo engine is the most powerful TÜV-tested engine of German origin. The maximum power output of 730 hp / 537 kW is produced at 5,100 rpm. Peak torque is 1,320 Nm,(973lb-ft) but is limited electronically to 1,100 Nm,(811 lb-ft) available from a low 2,100 rpm.

I also can't find the weight on it. It's gotta be a heavy pig - only 10.5 in the 1/4 with all that HP. What a shame.

Take that money and buy a Twin Turbo Viper, a couple of 03-04 Cobras, shelbys, and still have money leftover for a house, drugs and hookers

they weigh about 4,300lbs...maybe a little more with the V12.. and thats not 1/4 mile time... thats just 0-124... and if i had the money i would spend it.. yea its expensive but for the people that can afford that kinda car.. its nothing...plus i dont think a cobra will do 225mph aerodynamically... and u going that fast in absolute comfort... no its not a race car.. but for a daily luxary car, it is fuckin badass....

maybe just me but seems whenever cars like this get posted everyone like oh i can build a cobra or viper faster for less.. yes and those are race cars.. these are everyday cars.. quiet, smooth, comfort, you dont get that in a built muscle car with those numbers... sorry not trying to start anything... just gets to me sometimes...

something to be said about a car that can still pin your ass to the seat after 150mph....
