Where's the fishing spots near Round Lake, IL???

Ok, well I am relatively new to the are and want to find where some decent spots to go fishing off the bank are at around here. I don't expect for any of you to give your personal hot spots up, but I would surely appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

not sure if this helps but my dad goes fishing on lake michigan, great fishing there......

Try the shallows in the lakes local to you. Crappies are spawning right now and the bass will be moving in soon after. Also try the backwaters of any rivers you got nearby. Last week a coworker and I hit some insignificant looking spots of the Dupage river near Naperville and pulled three crappies over 14" long out of there.

go to the chain in antioch. I'll go halves on a boat/motor rental not this weekend but next.

I go to mchenry dam, i have a little spot i fish from that is right on the fox river shore downstream of the dam. I like fishing for catfish there, specially when it has just rained and the water level is high. Caught myself a nice 30 pound channel last summer.
