Well I had a demo yesterday, 2006 VW GTI 2.0T 6-speed, and me and Bob had the "brilliant" idea of taking it up to GLD. We took the Dealer plates off of her, and ran her. I drove her. Well overall, the car is a nice ride, and has some power that can still be released.
I ran her 5 times.
First run, had a .095 reaction time, 2.715 60' time, and ended up with a 15.725 @ 91.47mph in the 1/4.
Second run, had a .001 reaction time, 2.901 60' time, and ended up with a 15.747 @ 92.50 mph in the 1/4.
Third run, had a .369 reaction time, 2.280 60' time, and ended up with a 15.026 @ 92.79 mph in the 1/4.
Fourth run, had a .131 reaction time, 2.222 60' time, and ended up with a 14.864 @ 93.57 mph in the 1/4.
Fifth run, had a .565 reaction time (sleeping at the line), 2.388 60' time, and ended up with a 14.943 @ 94.16 mph in the 1/4.
And each time, whenever I came to about 4,000 RPM's in first gear, the tires would spin all the way to second.....And had CRAZY wheel hop!
My overall experience with the car is that with a nice sticky tire, she could do a mid 14's. Not bad for a BONE STOCK 2006 GTI with 100 miles on it!
