So I turned of 53 onto east bound Higgins (by streets) and start driving through the forest preserve. My Escort 8500 starts going off, im thinking to myself, haha there is a cop up ahead parked on the little access road behind the trees on the right like he always is. I start to slow down to traffic speed, there was a bitch in a Suburban in front of me going pretty fast. I drive past the cop parked exactly where I knew he would be doing probably 5 over the limit as were all the other cars around me. The Suburban also droped the speed but only as the cop came into view (probably too late?). I keep driving. A few seconds later I see the cop pull out. Then he turns on the lights. Im thinking fuck he must have saw my tints or no front plate. A black lady walks out of the car and asks me if im in a hurry. I simply tell her NO. She tells me I was doing 60 in a 45. Im thinking no way in hell. My speedo is fast because of my not stock sized tires and it couldnt have been reading anymore than 50-55. (traffic speed) I wasnt going to tell her my radar was going off like a minute before I saw her. She asks for insurance and I didnt have the card (its sitting here on my desk) she then tells me it is illegal to drive with no insurance and she could tow my car. I NEVER herd of that. I told her the car is at home, which is the honest truth. She goes back in her car, im thinking im just going to get a insurance ticket, which is very easy to get out of anyway as I do have a current card. She comes back with a speeding ticket for 60 in a 45. da fuck is that shit? who gives someone a ticket for going +15 over on a 2 lane divided road with forest on both sides.
Anyway, I honestly dont think I was going that fast as my radar told me about the car way before I saw her, she wasnt using laser or anything, had the gun pointed down the street and on the whole time. I think she clocked the lady in the Surburban in front of me going a tad faster. Radar is attracted to the closest biggest object.
As of right now my record is bad. Im on double supervision, as I got a speeding ticket in November 06 and one in January 07 for no turn on red. I know I could just plede guilty and have it on my record, which is what the judge would do anyway if I dont have a lawyer or I get a lawyer and see what he can do for me. Maybe a 8 hour traffic school again?
Any advice or a good lawyers number would be nice

-and wrote it was cloudy, raining, and snowing out
-on the ticket envelope she didnt write any information in the box that says "to be printed by the police officer"
When asked to see the radar, SHE TOLD ME SHE COULDN'T SHOW IT TO ME.
