I was in 7th grade at band practice when we found out via pa system.

I was a senior in highschool. I was in gym class and the principal made an announcement. How the rest of the day unfolded was unreal. RIP for all those on sept. 11th and God Bless America.

I was driving by the sears tower at the time.

I was sleeping since I worked second shift. Got woken up by my grandma asking where my mom was since she worked downtown. Ended up staying home.

I was on my way to work in Arlington Heights, listening to Mancow on Q101. I remember thinking what a bunch of BS to be putting out on the radio you radio jockey asshat... then I got to work and CNN, google and MSNBC were all essentially unresponsive.

Sure was glad not to be working downtown that day.

I was in the Lunch room at Holy Cross high School, a sophomore, right befoe 1st period.

sophomore in HS, my teacher turned on CNN shortly after the first plane hit. We watched TV the rest of the day and the next day.

I saw it all unfold on the news... I watched the 2nd plane go into the building on live tv and I thought that it was just too surreal to be true. I was a freshman at Harper and my first class didn't start until after 9AM.

8th grade in gym class. Heard it over the P.A system. Just remember commin home and watching it over and over again on the news on every channel.

At home and just woke up when it happened. Got to work an hour later to find everyone glued to the TV

I was jumping out of an airplane on a air field take over mission in VA.....We landed heard the first plane hit, then the second then we all packed up and headed back to Fort Bragg stupid quick and got ready for loading the boys up for some pay back....

I was in the Air Force. Was in bed sleeping when people started bangin' on my door to get my uniform on and get downstairs. When I didn't wake up because I didn't believe them, my Commander forced his way into my room and woke me up personally. It was at that point I started believing it.

I turned on the TV in our dayroom and stood motionless and speechless. I just couldn't believe it.

RIP to the thousands that passed away that day and to the troops who are fighting for giving me the chance to type this post.

I was in 7th grade as well. I was sitting in social studies class.....


I remember I didnt even know what the world trade center was

basically x2 on this, soph in HS, in american government class ironically enough

we had a tv in the room hooked up, only a few in the school with cable at the time and the teacher turned it on right after the first plane hit, then watch as hte unfortunate events unfolded on live tv for the next couple hours

i literally dont think anyone made a sound the ENTIRE time, it was like watch an action movie, no one could truely get a handle on the situation that this was in fact real and live.... completely insane

I was a Sophmore in HS in history class, I remember i went and raced BMX that night too even though my mom was freaking out that we should stay home. The classes were extra small that night.

I was a sophmore sitting in study hall then an announcement came on and everyone rushed the library/computer room since it was the closest television to study hall. classes were basically over for the day...

Oh an awkward side note... my mom thought it would be a good idea to get married... today.... like later on around 3pm... on September 11th. I dont understand.

Freshman in HS in History class... ironic. I student teach on Mon. Wed. Fri. and the school didn't even have a moment of silence today or anything. That seemed almost kinda wrong. idk RIP
