I was in the Czech Republic for 2 weeks. Some of you may have worried and wept while I was gone, but don't fret, I'm like s00ls, I'll never leave.
I was there to work at a Camp there teaching English to the Czech teenagers that wanted to come to this camp. Our "camp" was a ski resort up in the mountains and we were there for 6 days, had morning english classes in the morning, games/activities in the afternoon, and a night meeting/games/skits/music etc. I don't know many czech words at all, but that was ok b/c they all knew atleast a bit of english and we had some translators.
My favorite Czech Phrase that I would hear once in a while: "Fakt Yo?" means "Really"? It was funny hearing people saying that around you...
So what happened:
first 2 nights, we stayed in a smallish town outside of prague with the families of the czech camp leaders. It was fun and interesting. got to go see another town and here are some pics:
first town - Vysoke Myto, CZ
another nearby town town that we visited with a very cool cathedral:
pictures of a basement of a chapel there decorated with over 40,000 people's bones!
another nearby town town that we visited with a very cool cathedral:
Then after a few days there, off to the camp in the mountains:
you can see our buildings down on the far right... this was when we went on a long hike
everyone at the camp:
Then after the camp, we went to prague for a couple of days.
Prage is amazing! And this is my third summer going there too. I highly suggest it to anyone going to europe.
old towne square:
one entrance to the famous Charles Bridge:
Prague Castle and the cathedral inside of it:
down the steps from the castle looking over the rest of the city:
Then We flew home.
Notice: these are not my pictures and have not uploaded mine yet, but i have many more, and a lot of cool stuff too that i don't have time to post right now... maybe more in a bit...
