Man charged with DUI in fatal Schaumburg car accident - Story | WFLD

SCHAUMBURG (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A man has been charged Friday with DUI following this week’s fatal, three-vehicle crash in northwest suburban Schaumburg.

Feroz Q. Khan, 25, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs and felony aggravated driving under the influence of drugs resulting in death, according to a statement from Schaumburg police. The bond hearing for Khan, a resident of northwest suburban Streamwood, was scheduled for Friday afternoon.

At 8:53 p.m. Wednesday, emergency crews responded to the crash in the 500 block of East Schaumburg Road, police said. Khan was taken into custody near the scene, and a driver from the crash passed away shortly after.

ya funny they release details like this without toxicology.. Just prepping the majority of the sheeple ignorant voters if weed ever does get on the ballot in this state. :picard:

"kayaking and smoking weed and then smoking some more weed at a friend's house in Carpentersville,"

Sounds like you are a sheeple, spreading nonsense information before spending 30 seconds reading.

“Police took Khan to Amita Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, where medical personnel "gave verbal reports that toxicology indicated the defendant was positive for THC," Gates said. “

Until you can measure active thc levels or unless you saw the dude smoking.... A dui on weed is a bunch of bullshit if we are being honest here and basing it just off a blood/piss test...

There's a reason that field sobriety tests stand up in court as impaired. You can be in a state of mind not to operate a car off a lot of things including OTC and prescription drugs. In a case like this though I'd really wonder if he could say he was fine pre accident but the test post accident was when he was shaken up. That's what I'd say anyways. Major accidents can mess with your mind.

Didn't see that quote and stating that is completely useless.. perhaps they should continue to state he did not test positive for any other legal or illegal mind altering substances..

RIP to the victim. They had that stretch of Schaumburg road closed most of that night. Its 40mph there, heard he tried to go in between two cars at 90+ and pushed the blue SUV right into the tree.

I think the bigger issue here is the guy had 7 prior speeding violations and 1 pending. Guy also made a FB post the same day "I wonder what its like to drive the speed limit" but his FB was deleted. Maybe he shouldn't have had a license? They are quick to blame it on weed here.
