Coworker said a flyer he got was funny because it said boost your dogs confidence by getting them groomed. Or something like that. I said there was nothing wrong with that and agreed that it does boost confidence. He argued that pets have no confidence. He finally conceded saying he does not know, because he does not own a pet.


Do TCG, does grooming your pet boost their confidence?

Dogs will often reflect the attitude of their owners. If you are anxious about something, then the dog will be too. If you are calm, frightened, agitated, etc... I think the same thing would apply to "confidence", even though the dog doesn't know that it looks better after being groomed. It more has to do with the owner's happiness upon picking up their pet, and the pet acting happy because "hey, my owner is back, yay!". That may seem to portray "confidence", but just be a sign of the dog being content or happy.
