Chromebook wont connect to wifi

I get a "Failed to connect to network DHCP lookup failed."


All I know about this thing is its a refurb toshiba thats been working amazing for years.

- can you ping the loopback addy 127.0.0.1?
- can you ping your access point?
- have you tried offlining/onlining the NIC?
- power cycled the entire PC?

could be the NIC gave up the ghost...time for a new lappy

Always try jiggling the power cord. If not that, then replace the Flux capacitor.

Just make sure the time matches the current time. Internet won't work if it doesn't

ok... so this was happening for days. i closed laptop. made thread. opened laptop, now im posting from it.... wtf.

my chromebook has a funky issue where it will lose track of time and no websites work but it connects to wifi. Usually when the battery dies when being left on. Making the time current fixes the issue

But I am also not running chrome OS. I wiped my Chromebook so I could install full blown Linux Ubuntu on it.

DHCP lookup failed sounds like it was your router not handing out an address to the chromebook for some reason- next time it happens (if it does) reboot your router, see if that fixes it.
