Speed limits on I90

So... did they just change the speed limit on I90 coming from Rockford going eastbound just past Randall Rd.? If memory serves the limit dropped from 70 to 55mph and it stayed 55 all the way past O’Hare.

NO ONE followed it btw and traffic moved at 70-80mph consistently, if I dare dropped under 65 I’d get run off the road

Did they just change this or am I losing it?? Lol

Yeah nice too since the road is so smooth. People will do 20 over no matter the speed limit so it just makes it more dangerous imo.

Yes, it was just last week that I noticed it’s 70mph now. It drops to 60mph around Elmhurst Rd and then 55mph once you get to the toll just past ohare I think.

Idk if it’s ever empty enough for that, but I mean I’m usually going about 80-90mph every morning heading into work. It’s a really nice road now.

Some of these limits are ridiculous. I was just in Wyoming with 80 MPH limits. Traffic flowed well, you didn't have a car here or there going 58 mph in the left lane to swerve around.
