Local place to digitize negatives & slides??

Found an old box of slides & negatives from the 70's & 80's and want them converted.
Anyone done this locally, I'm worried they will get lost if I send them out to one of those internet places.

I wouldn’t trust Walgreens or any place like that. Yelp photo development and take them to a professional

I definitely won't be going to Jewel, walmart etc and risk some minimum wage guy that doesn't give a damn ruining them.
I keep reading how those online places do amazing work, but worried about mailing them off and they get lost.

Great tip, I've never used the yelp before, I'll try that next, thanks.

I yelped photo development just for kicks and a bunch of places came up near me

I bought a scanner that can do it after I found out what they charge a few years ago. I think an HP scanner with software for negatives and slides. Works great. Plus nothing can get lost forever.

A buddy just informed me he has one of those and loves it.
Works great, and you can fix a lot of stuff using the paint program.

I'm going to check if my big HP printer can use that adapter.
