Mine? I FUCKING hate when people ask either an obvious question on a car specific page that either could be answered by just using their brain, or just simply doing a google search. Seriously, why wait for someone to reply to a GD FB post when you can just look it up on your own? Most of the time, when there is something wrong with your car, nowadays it's likely a common problem and has been talked about. It will likely show up with a very simple search.

My other pet peeve? When people get mad because you told them to just do a google search instead of giving them the answer. They COULD just look it up, but now their feelings are hurt and they just want to act like a ******.

IDK if this has been brought up before, but I used to follow a bunch of different pages on FB for cars I own or owned just to keep tabs on what's going on and I have left just about every single one of them. Obviously these pages are what is killing car forums, but it shouldn't be. People on these pages should enforce the "look it up on you FUCKING own" before answering obvious questions.

In all honesty, I'm only on a few of them, but the one that surprises me the most how 'tame' it is, is the "Anything Coyote Mustang related 2011& Up" Group.

Admins seem to keep it exceptionally clean, and the posts are generally excellent. I think the Admins 'burn' stupid posts, and enforce rules pretty heavily given the general 'audience'.

I also love the Brown Car Appreciation Society, its amusing.

I REALLY hate the Chicagoland Car Spotters group, because whenever you DO post a 'spot', people critique the fucking photo.... Never mind if its a cool spot.

“Will such and such intake work on my car and increase horsepower? Should I put a K&N oiled filter in?” I post no and give them reasons and links to bench tests and actual real world experiences. Response is usually “I don’t have time to read all of that.” Usually followed by a post from the same person a month later “Car went into limp mode, trans shifting weird what’s wrong with it?” My response “Take the fucking oiled K&N filter out that several people told you not to put in and clean your TB then clear the codes.”

Post a pic of a headlight mod that someone asks about or a pic of different grills across the model line, some idiot “Yo boi, lemme git dem wheels!”

“Why my suspension ride so rough?” Their pic is of a 10 year old Escalade on 26’s.

“Anyone got a part number for this?” I post link to exact part........They respond “But what’s the part number?”

I feel like the car communities have gone backwards by migrating to Facebook. I miss when all of the big forums were booming. There is going to be so much knowledge lost when forums start shutting down.
It really is sad. That Facebook is killing the forums. Not to mention searching groups for info is so painful

Facebook is shit for technical posts and discussions. Because facebook only cares about the "now" so the same questions continue to be asked again and again.

And then there's people giving BS tehc advises and more sad is people taking them lol.

So you think you're annoyed? I'm pretty sure no one on your car groups there's people pretending to be cops. My grand marquis panther platform is shared with the crown vic, you have no clue how some people jerk to the idea of installing cop equipment to the vic to make it look like a cop, their reasons are because they work on a security job, traffic control, fire depts, funeral escorts. Now this is a real pain in the ass

I don't get that at all tbh. How many of you CV owners have to deal with ppl flipping out and going slow in the fast lane etc.

In reply to the OP, the answer is simply their existence.

Massive understatement. It’s already begun due to Photobucket’s bullshit.
