Lithium based batteries will hold their charge state forever for the most part. They are less tolerant of being stored with a full charge, so keeping them around 75% charge is best for longevity. But they don't self discharge, so whatever the charge state is when you put it away, is where it remains.
One of my RC cars is powered by two 12.6v 5amp batteries. Each battery is capable of discharging 250amp continuously and upwards of 350amps for brief periods, aka just a few seconds. And each battery only weighs 1.1lbs.
Normally, I have them wired in series in the car to create a single 25v battery.
But, I have on occasion wired them in parallel, and used them to jump a car. The little 2lb battery pack can put a huge car battery to shame in terms of starting power.
Wired in parallel it can deliver about 500amps @ 12v continuously and could probably deliver near 700amps for a second or two. Easily enough to start a car with a weak battery.
