i mean, we do multiple xmas parties with all sides of the fam.
and this year, non of them are at our house

my moms
my dads
her parents
our "friendsMas" thing
neighborhood xmas thing

almost the same thing happens with thanksgiving.
and this is why ive pretty much lost interest in the holiday season.

bah humbug.

edit: im also not putting up any xmas lights once again this year. why you ask? cold temps, the lack of outdoor electrical outlets on my home, and the fact of the increased comed bill.

Trust me, I'd normally not worry about it until after thanksgiving but the new tree was delivered yesterday and instead of looking at a big brown box for a week I figured i'd put it up. Hence no other decorations or ornaments.
