Elgin can be pretty sneaky too, especially in school zones. Another one that they and the Staties like to do on 20, is hide on the on-ramps from 31 OR going east, there is the access road to 20 from Bluff City Blvd. They actually sit in front of someones house and you can't see them easily because of the tree line between 20 and the access road, so you go whizzing by and he nails you from behind.
Years back, they'd have an officer hide behind the barrier under the bridge for 31 as you went west on 20, He'd hit you with LASER/LIDAR, radio to a unit sitting on the entrance ramp waiting, and the unit would run you down.
Carol Stream just sits in the industrial parks on either side of North, all the way up past Joe Cotton. At one time, I saw one actually sitting in the Joe Cotton lot, trying to blend in with the used cars...
In WeGo, one place to be careful is if you go by DuPage Airport on North Ave. They sit off in the parking lot and access road to the airport where they're sort of not in your main peripheral vision.
