This is why I hate douche riders. I almost saw an accident kinda like this (no stopped car, but the guy was driving STUPID fucking slow) up 53 one night just past woodfield and the typical flock of rockets went flying past and saw one almost lay his bike down trying to avoid an accident that he was speeding into.

Dumbasses.

Ouch......got hit at 75mph back in 09. Took years to fully recover. I see this and can definitely feel for them, this was their fault though...

Hopefully full recoveries

Honestly it's why I sold my cbr1000 and stuck with 4 wheels since, safer

Which ever dude falls at the foot of the car's trunk, you can watch his ankle break as he's coming down. Brutal.

This is why I don't ride any more. Between dumb drivers and dumber riders it just wasn't worth the risk.

I hit a guardrail at 70mph. Luckily at the last second, instead of hitting it dead on, I ended up "grinding" along it for 50+ feet. I had to push off the guardrail with my knee. Came out with a scratch on my knee and damage to the bike. Not long after that is when I quit riding. Not because of that accident but because my wife's cousin died on his bike around that time and she would always get nervous when I rode.

Yep, too many crazy and distracted drivers these days. I gave it up log ago after almost getting nailed by a pizza delivery truck. Narrowly escaped death that day, but if I was 100 milliseconds ahead of where I was, I'd be pepperoni pizza topping.

Not watching. I still have nightmares from seeing the dead motorcyclist on my block.

I’ve been in similar situations where the car in front of me is going really slow and starts to get out of the lane. You might think he just wants to get out of the lane because he’s moving to an exit or something. So you ride a little closer thinking that the road is open once he moves…and then it turns out there is something in front of him. And you’re flying without having much time to brake. I’m guessing that’s what happened here. The bike probably thought the road was clear in front of the slow moving car, and he was already likely speeding. If they lived, luck is on their side.

That’s why anytime I’m in that situation, I just assume there is an obstruction in the lane and I might have to get over as well.

If people are braking and there is a barrier wall on side its common sense to back off. I hate to say this but if they didn't live I wouldn't be mad. Less idiots on 2 wheels.
