I have a buddy that lives down there and LOVES it. I really like visiting him. They live in Olathe, one year we went downtown for fireworks on the 4th of July. Took us 20 minutes to get downtown and we got street parking right outside where we wanted to go.

Sister has lived there for a year, still haven't visited :bowrofl:

go its an easy drive. 55 south to 70 west. boom done. do not go I-80. it "saves" 30 minutes, but is usually under construction and ends up taking longer. plus the drive on 70 west is great.

great beer, great BBQ, cheaper cost of living, no bulshit gun laws, hahah.

if i could move today, just pick up and go, i would end up down there.

She comes home so often I haven't felt obligated to make the trip the other way

Sports venues are pretty cool too. The Chiefs and Royals stadiums share the same parking lot. Koffman stadium was recently renovated and you can tail gate. As everyone else said, food is great. I would live there. Much better than anything in Ohio.

So I've never moved states before.....do you "transfer" your vehicle registration, or do you have to get all new registration for the new state even if you just renewed your IL?

Yes. You're supposed to do it within 30 days of getting a new home. I didn't. I had just renewed my expensive ass plates IL when I moved, I waited till they had expired and then changed. You do need to be careful and not let them expire though as that can lead to problems. Could also have problems if you get pulled over and the plates aren't right.
