Man, I don't know how you function on some of those days following 2-3 hours of sleep!

I average 6-7 a night for the most part. Unfortunately its never a solid 6-7 hours, usually two-three hour stints with piss breaks between.

Tons of yawning, for some reason I'll get up just shortly after falling asleep and that's it for me. I'm up. Sometimes I have to call into work because I feel like I'm going to kill someone trying to drive with no sleep.

You can see after a short night of sleep the next night I get hella sleep. It's a trade off

I don't fitbit as much as I used to (mainly cuz I'm fat and inactive AF lately) but I get a decent 6-8/night. Without it, I just DO NOT FUNCTION properly and get crabby in a hurry.

I get an average of 5.5 - 6.5hours per night. Even slightly less in the weekend. And trust me when I say this: this is good sleep for me. Before this, I'd average 4 per night on the weekday and maybe 4-6 for the entire weekend.

How does it actually know? Does it start the clock when you stop moving so much?

IDK how it specifically works, but it is dead on accurate. It knows when you're just rolling around in bed or you're actually awake. Also, it knows if you're just sitting watching TV, cause it doesn't start the sleeping clock until you're actually asleep.

I'm tempted to buy one. I know my sleep habits are terrible. I get 4-5 hours of sleep on weeknights and 6-7 hours per night on weekends. Grad school plus working full time got me into the habit of staying up until 2 AM and waking up by 6.
