Doing shiplap deal in my bathroom need opinions

So I'm doing a greyish barn wood looking 2 walls in one of my bathrooms to cover old paneling that looks like ass, the whole room will be a grey/white theme I'm painting the vanity white and getting a grey white granite top the wall behind the vanity and the wall around the shower are going to be shiplap/barn wood looking with a grey or white wash finish, I may do multiple tints to make it look more authentic here's the samples so far what color looks the best, this grey has some tan tint to to it and it may be more straight grey this was just to see how it would look with some left over paint

I like the first one the best. The last one does not look great (could be lighting) but the gray and yellow tint to the wood don't seem to mesh very well.

Yeah that one was just for shits it's bare pine with the grey/tan paint over it, I just found some more grey paint that's straight grey will have more samples shortly lol

there are other options with stain, heres a take on a grey-ish i did a while back for doggy stairs. perhaps a little darker than your going for but easily adjustable with a lighter second stain as opposed to the walnut i used.

I want to go darker but still want the wood grain to show through, I'll try the paint wash a few more times and look into a grey tint stain if it doesn't pan out, it looks like you used oak? The pine boards I have soak up stain crazy compared to a hard wood

Yes sir good eye. Yeah pine takes stain too well sometimes. White wash style painting can be a bitch too though

It all looks good but by my experience, anytime you introduce a white wash oil to knots they eventually turn yellow on pine. Just food for thought....It may take a couple weeks but it will turn.

They were stained dark walnut before the white wash and it was latex based paint I used in the white wash, then clear coated
