No. But snakes and scorpions are. I used to get scorpions in my hotel off I-17/Dunlap. Never heard someone scream as loud as the lady did the first time we got one.

Out of the 4+ years I've lived down here I've never seen a snake and have only seen one scorpion I wouldn't call it a problem.

That being said, I've seen countless black widows and brown recluse.

Either way, I'd take all of that shit over fucking mosquitoes any day.

The desert is great for that. I only see mosquitos up in the mountains when shit is still all wet but warm out.

Otherwise it's just snakes on occasion and dust.

In basic training we would throw a bunch of insects into the fire ant hills. One of the more memorable one was the black widow. Threw that fucker in there and the ants said "fuck this" as they moved around the spider. The pecking order was apparent.
