Not being a pussy at all, being smart. There was some nasty shit that could show up in a reef aquarium that can mess you up if you didnt have gloves on. Some people would be fine, but other people would blow up like a balloon.

I wouldn't touch them without gloves neither. Who's to say that any of those creatures didn't produce some kind of venom as a self defense mechanism on their body.

God I wish it could be explained by radioactivity...but this is just nature...radioactive mutation in animals usually just means shorter lifespan, being undersized/undeveloped, and higher risks of cancers. In humans, it can cause some fucked up birth defects, heart issues, hyrdocephaly, undeveloped extremities, etc
