It's a dead pig. And another. And another. And another.
SARASOTA (FOX 13) - Rotting pig carcasses in the roadway have blocked northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Sarasota this morning.
A spokesperson for Florida Highway Patrol told FOX 13 that the area "looks like a homicide scene."
According to FHP, a truck transporting dead pig carcasses did not have them properly secured, and four of them fell off.
The gruesome scene is affecting traffic near the Fruitville exit. The view from SkyFOX showed two lanes of traffic is getting by.
A road hazard crew is on scene and cleaning up the roadway. Troopers say the roadway will need to be hosed off because the smell of the rotting meat is so terrible, but the lanes will be reopened shortly.
