Just curious if this is something that could be built or bought for $300 or cheaper. Probably would want to have a little more pah than the bare minimum.

PC Computers:
  • Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10
  • 64-bit Windows (32-bit support ends March 14, 2016)
  • Intel Core i3, i5, i7 or better or AMD Bulldozer or better
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • NVidia GeForce 2xx series or better, 1GB+ dedicated video memory, AMD 5xxx series or better, 1GB+ dedicated video memory or better
  • Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4200+ or better, with 8GB of system RAM
  • 10 GB of free disk space
  • Microphone optional, required for voice chat

gtx 970 is overkill for 3 monitors for iracing. I run iracing with eyefinity with a 970 but did so previously with a 770 with no problems. This is all on a super old i5 2500k cpu with 16gb of ram but 8 would easily still run it. it is not a hardware intensive game.

In that case, 300$ budget is possible for sure.

How do you like iRacing?

I enjoy it I wish I played more but been super busy. I have mostly just raced the miata in road racing and got out of being a complete noob. Take your time in practice and go slowly until you can make 10-30 laps without crashing before trying to play with other people.

It is fun to play in the series where you practice a certain track and then compete for points over a 12 week season. Each week is a new track. It has really helped me see similarities between turns on different tracks and cut down on the amount of practice I need to learn new tracks.

Bumping this four years later to see what’s out there and what’s changed as far as affordability. Any pre-built computers less than $500 that could do this?

Minimum System Requirements
***These are our minimum requirements, just meeting these will produce graphics at our minimum in test mode***

PC Computers:
  • Windows 8.1 64-Bit, Windows 10 64-Bit
  • 64-bit Windows
  • 4 core CPU or better – Some examples (but not limited to): AMD FX-6300, Intel Core i5-4430, Intel Core i5-2320, AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • A gaming graphics card with at least 2GB of DEDICATED memory – Some examples (but not limited to): Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 @ 2 GB / GTX 1050 or ATI Radeon HD 7850 @ 2GB / AMD RX 550 or better
  • 10 GB of free disk space (40 GB for all cars and tracks)
  • Microphone optional, required for voice chat

**Note that in order to get the full dirt visual experience on iRacing you will need a computer that is capable of running graphics shaders at medium to high settings. Please contact our support team at [email protected]if you have questions about your PC.

Multiple people on the site can probably help you build one. Let me know if you are interested.

I run an I7-7700k and a 2070 card with 16gb of ram and get like 130 frames by myself on triple 24 inch monitors. I have the fanatec v3 pedals and 1.5 shifter and a super old CSR wheel

VR is the cheaper option vs monitors at this pointt I just have owned these now for like 6 years.

Well, here we go. Thanks to Intel Intel for the tip. Picked it up on Facebook. One of those “too good to be true” deals so let’s see if it even works  2017-ish Dell XPS 8920, 8 gig GTX 1070, i5 gen 7 3 ghz.
