In the winter they park their cars and atvs on the ice, and go ice fishing on the lake. Ive seen them do it before. Guess they thought it was a good idea during the festival. And it not being as cold as it should to freeze the lake. Monkey see monkey do? Also curious what insurance would say.

Insurance won't pay that out.

The winter has been weird. Lake Superior a few weeks ago had ZERO ice on it. Its usually frozen solid. Lakes in the northwoods are barely safe for snowmobiles, about this time they are driving trucks on the lake. I have read about more ice related accidents then any year I can remember so far.
