Yes "escaped".... Is that what they call it when you buy everybody off and walk right out of prison? Isn't this the guy they wanted to keep in the states to make sure he wouldn't escape?

I imagine it going similar to this... All the locked doors opening, him casually walking down the block to the corridor with all the guards convienently looking the other way as he passes.. Then to the outside and through the main gates to a waiting black SUV (German) that drives him off into the night with a more support vehicles than Obmamamamama

He probably didn't pay people off . The guards probably let him go (helped him get out) out of fear .

The other reason would be that a few guards were part of his clan .

Pretty impressive to consider the planning and execution needed to tunnel unheard underneath a prison to the exact location where "El Chapo" is waiting.

they probably started to dig from a mile away and somehow used gps or compasses to guide them to the exact location under the prison .
