And there are 100's of billions of galaxies more! You think there's a chance of life somewhere else?

Statistically, I think its next to impossible that there isn't life elsewhere in the galaxy. Sapient life even.

But since were stuck here on earth, and the fastest means of communication is radio right now, I am not sure if we'll ever see life on another planet.

Sadly, I'm also sure that we'll kill ourselves long before we develop technology to get there. Or will exhaust the resources of this planet.

Crazy to think that not only are there 100's of billions of galaxies out there. But So far, astronomers have found more than 500 solar systems and are discovering new ones every year. Given how many they have found in our own neighborhood of the Milky Way galaxy, scientists estimate that there may be tens of billions of solar systems in our galaxy alone, perhaps even as many as 100 billion. Now times that amount by another 100 billion hahahaha... To say we are the only living organisms in the universe is ignorant. The universe is so large, that mathematically it is possible to be another exact you in the universe...

Some very interesting video's to watch

On another interesting thought, There are more atoms in the human body then there are stars in the known universe :bigthumb:

If there is a possibility of anything (given it does not violate physical laws) then the probability of it existing, having existed, or will exist is 1.
I just introduced the additional parameter of time. So take the possibility and multiply it by x moments since the universe came into existence.
There is no way we are alone or ever were or will be.

I'm not sure there is any technology that can get any species out of their own solar system.
If your spaceship ran into a grain of sand at light speed, it would be destroyed

That's what a Deflector Dish is for.
