It's an annual tradition here in Chicago (and many other cities with subway systems): On one day each winter, hundreds of brave individuals gather on CTA platforms, remove their pants, step onto a train and act as if nothing out of the ordinary is happening. Tourists and travelers are confused, but most people are in on the joke and chuckle to themselves as groups of pantless participants go about their business.

The 2015 edition of the*No Pants Subway Ride*begins on Sunday at noon, so expect to see some underwear if you decide to ride the Red Line. (Organizers are skipping the Blue Line this year, though you may see some rogue participants in their skivvies.) For a preview of the stripped-down festivities, take a look at our photos from last year's event.

Prepare to strip down on Sunday for the No Pants Subway Ride

While commuting on the CTA, do you ever find yourself thinking, "Aw shucks, I really wish I could take my pants off right now?" Well, you're in luck this Sunday when the*No Pants Subway Ride returns to the CTA.*

The event was originally created by New York-based comedy group Improve Everywhere in 2002, and it has since expanded to more than 20 cities across the world. Just as the name suggests, participants will board the train*at the same time without pants on and try their best to keep a straight face for the duration of the ride. The goal is to make unsuspecting riders feel genuinely*uncomfortable—or at least amused.*Don't expect to see any illicit junk popping out on the ride, though. The event's rules clearly state that participants' underwear cover everything that should be kept private.*

Anyone who wants to strip down for the sake of funny this weekend can head to the meetup at the parking garage at 1210 W Arthur Ave (right next to the Loyola Red Line station). The group of*bare-legged adventurers plan to be on the train by 12:30pm, so don't*be late.*

If you want to get a sense of what the event*is all about, check out ourslideshow from last year's ride*(beware, there are plenty of butt cheeks).*
