Nice to see both Haas cars in the points, even if it was from attrition. Thought for sure Wehrlein had snapped his neck seeing the cockpit up against barrier. And considering his ROC wreck. Glad it was low speed, almost slow motion as it happened with Button.

The commentators suggested purposeful Ferrari strategy brought Seb to the lead and Kimi to second, but man, Vettel was cranking out blistering laps after he got clean air.

It's tough to say weather or not they would have made a team order to kimi to let vettel pass if it didn't work out that way, they had the constructors points anyway but I'm sure they want a Ferrari to win the drivers championship as well

Watching Alonso at Indy is like watching a pro. He's been dicing it up in the top five, and even leading, through the first half. He's the only reason I'm watching the 500. Otherwise, Indy racing doesn't concern me.

Thats the damnedest thing ive ever seen. I dont know where button thought he was going there. Yeah there was a small gap there but his angle was completely wrong for that turn. He was doing such a good job just staying out of everyones way up to that point.

Out of all the Honda engines in that field, with 21 laps to go, COME ON! Alonso did such a fantastic job, it was incredible. I lost count of how many cars he passed on the high side Castroneves drove an incredible race as well. Drove UNDER Dixon while he was upside down flying thru the air And good god what a crash.

The view from the back of Castroneves' car

Oh well. At least a former F1 driver still won it. Good for him. I think this is the first Indy race I've actually watched from start to finish. Definitely had exciting moments, but I still don't know if I could watch a full season of this. All the yellow flags and caution laps and safety cars and red flags (well only 1 in this race) Just when the action gets going something happens and stops everything.

Man. Between F1 and Indy, this day is now GONE. Feels like it was 9am just a few hours ago. I still need to watch the F2 race from Monaco. Yesterday I was streaming the 24 hour Nurburgring race all day while I played Forza. So much racing this weekend.

That had to be, without a doubt, the most bizarre race I have ever seen in my life Such a complete opposite of last years race. There wasnt even 1 safety car last year.

Oh it's 99% Sebs fault. But Lewis was clearly backing the field up.

Hamilton was definitely backing the field way up, and had even been warned about that on the previous restart, but still, it was definitely all Seb

Even looking at the side by side from the 2 restarts it looks like Hamiltons momentum thru that turn is the same both times. Seb just wanted to stay on his ass so he wouldn't pull away again. It still cracks me up how much denial Seb is laying out about his "maneuver"

Hamiltons still a bitch for whining to Charlie over the radio that 10 seconds isnt a big enough penalty. Guess what, it wouldn't have even been a problem if YOUR team hadnt properly secured that surround bolster after the red flag. That took more than 10 seconds to secure when hamilton had to come back in. THATS the only reason Vettel got out ahead of him after his penalty. Dont whine to charlie you little bitch. He's not even the one that decides the penalty actions during the race. Its all up to the race stewards.

Well that was kind of an anti climactic end to quali But god damn are these new cars fast. Still amazes me every race. Hamiltons pole lap last year was 1'07.9. This year, Pascal Wehrlein, who qualified dead last in the Sauber, did a 1'07.0. I thought for sure we were gonna see someone crack into the 1'03's today. Just crazy. Should be an interesting race tomorrow. Car reliability is gonna be huge. These curbs are just beating the shit out of these cars.

Seriously. Other than that not a lot of action during the race, but the end was pretty exciting. And god I was in tears over Ricciardos reaction
