ok last 2 for the day. I'm hoping to get through all the songs I like in my various binders of Lyrics and chords of cover songs in the next couple weeks. Should be interesting because its a lot of material. Went B&W on these for giggles.

Nation of Heat (Joe Pug Cover)

There Stands the Glass (Webb Pierce Cover)

Guitar fell out of tune early on this song which annoys me now that I listen to it. Its still not bad for a guitar made in 1950.

:fy:

OP is better than any cover on youtube. better than the original IMHO. if i only heard the original, iwouldnt like it that much. cant stop listening to the cover.

Thank you! that means a lot considering the original is a full band and all vs my stripped down version.

Wow. Great stuff. You are quite talented.

Thank you!

I use a $100 condenser mic for recording which is among the cheapest out there when it comes to those type mics. Not sure of the brand right now I'm not at home but you can see it in the corner of the videos. I use a Blue Microphones interface plugged an old laptop and sync the audio to the video afterwards. Like anything it takes time and just experimentation to learn the best placement and setup. I record these where I do because I want a bit of the room echo in there.

I'll have more to come tomorrow.

Couple more. Had issues today and gave up in frustration. Broke a string on a guitar 1 chord into the first song. Strings were old and not ones that I really liked anyhow but it was annoying. Then grabbed another Guitar and between the construction and landscapers outside there was too much noise so I moved into the back bedroom and ehh.. it just never worked out.

Did manage an OK Beatles cover.

This was different... I tried out a fast version of the NIN song Hurt. First time doing it like this and I don't know if I really like it so it might be the only time. I wasn't even planning on playing this song it just happened to be on the opposite page of the song I was going to do.

This one I learned for a wedding. I changed the recording setup because I was using a Looping pedal at the end and can't do that without being plugged in. Had some funky Audio hiccups toward the end for some reason but still came out alright.

one more.. a Slipknot Cover. Rough one for me to do because the lyrics always get to me.
