Personally, I believe that reality TV is exploitation but hey it's a free country do it if you want to. Writing something about the reality of reality TV may be interesting to hear especially after you walk into the lion's den.

About 5 or so years ago I got asked to me a MADE coach for BMX racing. I declined for a few reasons. You'd figure they wouldn't be so cheap.
6 weeks of filming
You have up and leave when ever they need you. This includes during your normal work week if you have one like I do
The track and town in Indiana was about 3 hours away
Pay was $1,000 total

They only good was it could lead to other shows and you get to be on TV.
