- You can't just put in a another ECU, it needs to be programed with your vin. Get one from a dealer for your mods, that's your easiest route other than trying to find someone to tune it.

- A ported blower at your mod level is useless, it won't help much if anything at all.

- I would start with a stock pulley and if it's possible go down to a smaller pulley (using the above mentioned, scanner).

just buy a pcm from one of the vendors for a top swap for your car to get it running, you will want a custom tune once you get everything worked out before you start beating on it, dont waste your time with the ported blower as stated, if you feel like you will upgrade alot down the road maybe look at a gen v blower

Oh look, I'm tagged...... Now to answer your questions,

A canned tune is a pre set tune. Every 3800 performance company has their own version. They all have some lean areas enriched, trans shifts adjusted and firmed up, a thousand little tweaks, not specific to your car, but designed to work with any wbody at x level.

As far as pcms. If you use your gt injectors you can drive the car with your gt pcm, just leave off the supercharger belt until you get it tuned . If you want to use the gtp pcm you will need to use the gtp map sensor and wiring, gtp injectors, boost bypass valve and wiring, and somehow link that PCM to your BCM(sometimes the car will run without linking them sometimes it wont). You would still then need to go get a tune before any real aggressive driving (once again, you could be fine, but if not you are risking a blown motor).

Hope that helps :)

P. S. Find someone on the forums to tune you, will be much better than a zzp tune. TommyGloves and 10sec used to do that as a side business.

it just needs to be a tune for your car, a canned tune is just a basic calibration that works ok for a bunch of different cars, there are slight differences in all the motors they run alot better being tuned by someone whos watching a wide band its easier to do on the dyno, and no a strap down and one pull or two on a dyno would put you close to 100 bucks without tuning
