Nothing too drastic but am going for a different approach this year. Going to lose the stock rims, hood, stock front suspension and rear drag shocks. As the parts go on, will update this thread.

Here's how it sits, in all its 4x4 glory.

And the suspension. Bilstein SLP shocks from Stranoparts, and Sam's 1.2 inch lowering springs. The look should be much more even and the ride considerably better.

And the wheels. 17-inch WS6 wheels. They are rough but will be stripping and polishing with Adam's polishing products. Have everything at the house and as soon as I get a free weekend will start polishing them and will post up the progress here.

Then a WS6 hood, which is still a work in progress.

Thanks :bigthumb: I just talked with VFN about their hoods and they said it needs to be driven around unpainted for 30 days to let the gel coat seal. I think the dark primer WS6 hood would look pretty sweet on the black car. And they'll install and align it for $75 in Addison.

Stripped and polished one of the wheels today. Holy shit what a huge difference. Here are before and after pics.

Used Tal-Strip coating removal in an aerosol can to get the clear off. Took about 2-3 coats to get everything pliable to remove. After that, I used Adam's Aluminum Polish 1&2, then put a coat of paint wax on it to give some protection.

There's some oxidation that I couldn't remove and didn't want to attempt any wet sanding since I'm certain I'd just fuck it up. The polish and removing the clear took a lot of imperfections away.

One down, three to go. My arms and back are killing me.

Very nice. So now do you have to "maintain" these wheels alot more to keep that shine?
