Did you but the G19 from Glock ready for the RMR or send it out to be machined for it? Heard some people not liking the one from Glock because the plate under the RMR raises it off the slide a bit....

I'd personally find out a hard answer from a lawyer before I did it. But I'm overly cautious when it comes to legal shit. I don't like to get bit.

Googled it real quick.

I thought the main logic behind not mod ding ur carry gun was to keep it 100% reliable. Yes I'm sure ur mods to trigger and etc make ur gun still reliable.

Any silly issue on a carry gun could mean life or death. A issue at the range, who cares. I would prefer to keep my carry gun stock aside from different sights and my range weapons moddied for more enjoyment.

I sent my G19 and G17 out to Agency Arms to have their "treatment" done to both. Part of the work includes a ton of slide milling, including the RMR milling.

Looking at it. There's is a ton of work into it. But damn that's like a 2k glock when finished if not 2500.

Gun show in Joliet netted me some STANAG mags at $8 each. Buddy got some power pistol and I got a cleaning rod. Nothing exciting but hey that's life eh? I will say someone had a CZ 27 I was eyeballing pretty hard and a Spanish knockoff of a Smith 1905 in 32-20. Yeah I know not tactical tupperware but still.

It looks like the Smith SD9 has been re-released, am interested.

If you're looking my friend has a few month old Smith SD9 that he's willing to let go cheap.

I was looking at the Salient Arms guns and they're amazing. My buddy owns a machine shop and I was actually going to ask you guys about this stuff. Back in the day we would mill and machine our paintball guns to make them lighter and be able to cycle faster. Is it the same with these custom guns?

Don't think I would do it on an EDC gun (at least no windows) but am thinking about getting a slide and having my buddy machine it like we did for our paintball guns.

Did you do all the stippling and everything as well? I was looking at that but think I would likely just get some talon grips....

So I shot the mod.2 4" and was dead accurate. 14/16 bullseye first mag but its a bigger gun for sure. I switched it out after one mag because I was like "yeah I love this thing and don't need to shoot it anymore" lol its just a bit to big to CC for me since I kinda want a single stack to CC.

Between the single stacks; XDS, shield and glock 43.... I liked the xds 4" the most and was the most accurate but need to practice my hold due to the size. Not a fan of the grip safety so there's a good chance I'll just pin it back internally or get a different grip to hold it since I didn't care for the grip surface. I don't want my CC to have a grip safety when the trigger is the same as the glock so its kind of redundant.

The glock 43 I couldn't get consistent with unless I used the area around my knuckle to pull the trigger instead of my fatty part. I just didn't care for the trigger.

The shield once again didn't really impress me and it was similar to the g43 accuracy wise.

XDS or Mod.2? Two different guns. XDS is single stack, Mod.2 is double stack.

Yeah my bad. When I say xds mod.2 by accident I meant mod.2. I shot both today.

Mod.2 I love. Super accurate without even trying, but its a bigger gun to CC. Felt really good though and may be tempted to picking on up in the future. Loved the grip.

I'm probably going with the xds 4" for CC. The single stack will just be more comfortable and I can shoot just as accurate if I put some practice time into it and perfect the grip on the smaller gun. Maybe swap it out with talon grips.

I was looking at single stack frame guns too until I shot my buddies 3" mod2 subcompact.... Then I decided I can deal with the extra two tents of an inch of thickness for the extra capacity.

The grips make a good difference on that gun, did you shoot it with the extended mag it makes the gun a lot more manageable, mine is a 45 so it's a bit snappy to begin with

Seems like a bigger difference than that but maybe it is only 2 tenths

Yeah the extended mag. I loved the mod.2 grips and the talons look similar so I'll probably go that route.

Just don't get the sand paper grips they are awesome grips but will rub you raw for carry, I run them on a few guns including the xds but rarely ever carry it on me normally just a car gun
